New prop

January 27, 2009

Yep another little prop for you. It is a 1920’s bus pass from ipswich, Mass. It can serve as a great prop to give to some fellow players who wants to travel to Innsmouth or Arkham, and makes a great souvenir when coming back…

to print yourself the prop, save the first image, open it with any image editing program and add the name of the player’s character in a typewritter font on the front, don’t write the name on the other side, ask the player to fill it by hand it will be more authentic. So once the name is typed, print it, in color is better, on hard paper and fold it at the dotted line. Finally cut at the bold lines and glue in the middle with stick glue (makes no mess and dries fast) now you’re done and can hand it to your players.

Steampunk expo is not dead

January 22, 2009

this goes to all the people aware that we are planning to do a big steampunk expo in the future. So this is for the devellopments: we almost reached 40 art works for now, me and Serj. these includes a lot of photos we took lest weekend on a second photoshoot (in the freezing cold). The pictures went pretty good and I should post a photo of all the negative soon. The overall expo is beginning to shape up, but it still lacks of written stuff for the catalogue. So, I leave you on this little note

Little useful things

January 22, 2009

these are the sanity blasting horror identifying cards I use (aka shade of terror )The rules for shade of terror comes from the cthulhu lives rulebook and helps regulating a little bit the sanity of players during live games.

this second image is the character sheet I use for live games, they are even simpler that the ones designed by the cthulhu lives team. It folds into and can be hidden in pocket easily.

Some props for you to print

January 19, 2009

I decided, after posting these photos, that I should post some documents if some people wanted to print their own props of dynamite stick or letters. The first one is the dynamite stick, to make a prop like the one i did you have to find a core on which to construct the prop, I’ve used a bunch of regular paper rolled tight and taped with other layers of paper on top to smooth the transition, the final layer is the printed document aged with an oxydant and slightly varnished, for another core option that I should try soon, there is choco-gummy(tm) containers that are exactly the good size and are very strudy. After you finished with final paper layer add a little cord and that’s it.

The second document is to print some miskatonic hotel letter paper for you to write some insane letters send by occupants and travelers that stopped into the most known hotel in Arkham. So there are the documents:
